Strength:
Great value.. Vibrant sound.
Weakness:
I can't find any... Not yet. Wait until I upgrade my amp. My system consists of the follwing Meadowlark Kestrel Hot Rods Menthor Tube pre-Amplifier Adcom Power Amp Music Hall MMF-5 Turntable Parasound Phono Stage Primare D-20 CD Player Audioquest Copperhead Interconnects I have hi-fi speakers but only upper mid-fi components so I think that anything better than these cables would be overkill. As you can see, I only have a couple thousand into my system, and I can't see spending $300-$400 on cables. Similar Products Used: These are the first good cables I've yet owned. |

Strength:
Clean and rich sound stage. I was looking for the decent bi-wire speakers cable from the local store. Eventually, I got this pair of Straight Wire Quartet's terminated with spade connnector that i paid for $83 including the tax. This cable recommanded from the sale person at the local store within my budget range. I bi-wired it with my Denon2700 and AR310. After warming up this cable for hours, man... I fell in love to this cable because it makes my speakers sound better, cleaner and sweeter. Furthermore, I can feel that the bass is tighter than before, etc. Similar Products Used: Audio Quest type 4+ |

Strength:
Exceptional value for extraordinary sound.
Weakness:
None that I know of or can hear. I just hooked this up to my Klipsch Forte's that are powered by an old Yamaha AX-700U Amp and equalized by a Yamaha EQ 500-U. The neighbors have already knocked on the door and complained that the walls were shaking and they could feel the music more than they could hear ty(I only had it about 20% power)Why have I waited so long to get real cable??????? I bought this used off of Ebay and think they are used, hence broken in and have made me fall in love again with my stereo. While I have nothing to compare these to, other than the crappy thick clear coated wire and Radio Shack bananna plugs, I can't imagine anything better.I have them regular not biwired and they have changed they way my speakers respond 1000% |

While Buying a pair of Tannoy Mercury M2s, I decided to try this speaker cable in comparison to the Kimber 4VS I was using. First, let me say that Straight Wire cables seem to require less break-in than others I've tried. So, even new out of the box the Straight Wire sounded less flat and compressed, more puchy dynamic, fuller bass, sweeter, more extended highs and a deeper soundstage! What more can I say? |

Strength:
Well built, quality space connetions, can be used bi-wire/amp or double up for regular connections
Weakness:
non found yet I upgraded from a receiver and AR speakers to a 5 channel amp and Vendersteens so I really could not compare the sound difference between these cables and the Monster cables I had. I planned on bi-amping the 2Ce sig speakers and the cables I had would not do that. I felt that the overall contruction of the Monster Cables were far from premium so I looked elsewhere for new cables. The dealer suggestions the Quartet so I purchased two pair of 10' cables. So I have two sets going to each speaker from the amp. I am happy with the sound quality, constructon and price. Similar Products Used: Monster cable |

Strength:
Good construction. Good sound. Reasonable price. Can trade it in for Straightwire upgrade product.
Weakness:
14 gauge construction. Would prefer 12 gauge. I was not convinced that cables would really sound different. I brought in my 12 gauge $1 a foot speaker cable Similar Products Used: Monster cable. |
