This setup is easy, read enough of book to put up menu too tv,put in spkr distance, selected spkr levels and belive this avr is really a 7.2 receiver as there are 2 sub outputs! And this is the fun part as the receiver has the most awesome musical bass rendering ive ever heard from a avr,its solid and warm quite tube like sound blew me away and im still experimenting w/subs placement!{ Tip} try enhanced bass {on} in menu! Ok ive selected 60 and 70hz for surrounds and large for the infinity beta 50s and beta c360 center ch. The decent bass the betas have combined w/2 100watt 10" subs all sound tremendous together! So i boxed up my 7.1 thx certified receiver that cant play back a cd without getting on your nerves,eq was sounding great but past 25watts it became a nusance? The NAD T765 can and does play music even better than i hoped, the highs are smooth and alive and the mid-bass and deeper notes were astounding and midrange is not biting like before! Didnt try audessey setup, this unit doesnt have eq upgrade but its availible! I Didnt run the hmdi to it as optical true glass cables get my audio and i dont let video get near a audio circuit board if at all possible period! Besides every hmdi change renders a firmware update mandatory or popping, clicking, humming, just nameing a few things! The NAD is powerful using 8ohm spkrs but 4ohm would be defening in a lg room, mine is v/large and its a blasting music clean when i want and its still wonderous sounding!
