Strength:

The AT-LP120-USB is a direct-drive turntable, which means there’s a motor beneath its spindle turning its platter. Direct-drive turntables deliver fast start and stop times and excellent torque, and there’s no belt to worry about wearing out over the years. slab leak repair corona

Weakness:

vibrations produced by the motor can be transferred

Strength:

Audio Technica's take on a classic design at a fraction of the cost of the famous 1200. Weighing in at around 25 lbs. this component is a FULLY MANUAL professional turntable for DJs or budget audiophiles alike. I got mine in 2020 in mint condition for $200 from a newlywed neighbor who loved it but her husband has an upscale Thorens and that takes center stage. The AT-LP120-USB has a direct drive (no belt to replace), virtually noiseless, reversible 3 speed motor. Transfer your vinyl to a computer with the included software and cables. You can upgrade the familiar 1/2 inch headshell with a multitude of budget or high end cartridges, however it comes with the highly touted and popular AT95E cartridge and I think new replacement styli should be readily available for a long time. The tonearm is adjustable for anti-skate, height and tracking force and there's also a cue lever. With the built in preamp you can use powered speakers or systems with or without a phono input. Strobe light accuracy, an electronic brake, target light, pitch control and a hinged dust cover top off this beautiful turntable. Update: When it was time for a new stylus I went for a very modest ($10 at the time) upgrade and chose the cranberry colored ATN95EX. Truthfully these improvements are as minute as can be. The soundstage has more dimension, the bass seems more out front and there's more detail than the stock green ATN95E (example: it was hard to hear the mouth harp on the Beach Boys, Good Vibrations before the upgrade).

Weakness:

I don't find it a weakness but some might. As stated this is a fully manual turntable, that means there is no tonearm return and shut off at the end of play. If you don't turn it off it will continue to sssk, sssk, sssk when play has ended.
