None at this price point. Try these or Kimber's 4tc before you lay out some serious cash. If you're not happy then return them. Price Paid: 450

Finally purchashed two run's of 12 feet with banana plug temination's. I must admit, I was very skeptical about spending that kind of money for speaker kable. Having used lower lines of kimberkable and having fantastic result's with them.So clean sounding very impressed,so the big decision was how much was I willing to spend?. After further review on my part and reading all the review's posted(great input by the way).I decieded I would go for it,I knew my linn keilidh were capable of so much more. And I was right, but not right away. Right out of the box I was not impressed at all,has kimber let me down on this one. The monster cable I had hooked up prior sounded better! But after approximately 50hr's or so, they really started to open up and every day since then. Every day I hear pleasant change's everywhere, from top to bottom.I can finally justify spending the extra dough now(to myself anyway's) but I know what I like and kimberkable has not let me down again. Very glad I did'nt step outside the box on this one, kimberkable for life. |

Moved from a 22'X14' listening room to a12'X10' room and downsized my system from a B&W 605s and an old Denon reciever as a pre-amp thru an Adcom 125 w amp. I had built 2 pairs of cat5 speaker cables(different lengths) and thought they were great. Now have an all Vincent system with small NHT Classic 3's. Been listening to this for 6mos. Added Kimber Kable and noticed tha the sound stage has opened up and the detail is wounderful...even without a sub woofer. Crystal, like opening you eyes thru clear lenses not cloudy ones. Best money I've spent in a long time! |

Strength:
Detailed and "airy" without sharp edges at high frequencies. Balanced presentation without emphasis on specific spectral areas. Extreme value!
Weakness:
None at this price point, personally I would not go any further than this. “To Cable or not to Cable?”

Strength:
Very transparent. Makes good-quality component systems come alive....
Weakness:
None Originally I was using Tara Labs RSC Prime Bi-Wire cables in my system. After recently moving, I hooked the Tara Labs cables up and my system sounded 'muddled'. I tried numerous tweaks and adjustments to determine what the cause could be.....My last attempt was to replace speaker cables (as I thought the Tara Labs could not be causing my system to sound this way) with Kimber Kables. Once I hooked up these cables, I was amazed at how my system came alive - the highs and mid-range was clear, and the definition I was able to hear was eye-opening. Highly recommend trying these cables out.... Similar Products Used: Tara Labs

Strength:
Detail and flow
Weakness:
Price when new. I think it's an excellent cable but over priced I trialled these cables with by Naim/Spendor set up. I had been told that the Kimber could be 'risky' when used with Naim.I t was quite the opposite. The timing was excellent and it brought out detail I hadn't previously heard. It gave music a fluid and organic feel.It is a subtle cable that does most things right. It doesn't get in the way. There's no excessive bass and no 'pulling about' of the sound.

Strength:
Live sound, clear, the music is in the room with you. Great Bass
Weakness:
none that I know of Excellent cable..it makes such a big difference to my set. Unbelievable. The bass feels palpable it is so good. The instruments are very clear and sort of jump out at you, out of the speakers. Other more expensive cables like, Nordost, were warmer, but they were less ALIVE. I prefer the kimber 8 tc I use them terminated with WBT plugs on the amplifier side , and great spades WBT 0660 on the speaker side, bi-wire. I would highly recommend this, as the WBT plugs help you get the most out of your kimber cables. Expensive...but still considered a best buy (see hifichoice !)because the sound you get out of them is phenomenal. Strength:
After a good 60 hours of break-in these things smooth out and come to life, very natural. Can't say enough good things.
Weakness:
None. Very nice cable. Timing is just right, tonal balance cannot be beat for the dough. I have 2 pairs for my bi-wired system. I consider them a "reference cable". Similar Products Used: Too many. |
