I have audition speakers from Mission, Dynaudio, Wharfedale Jade and even Wharfedale Reva. My benchmark is my old Linn Keilidh from the early 90s. At the end I selected the Wharfedale Evo-50. The treble and upper mid range drivers comes from the Opus family. The overall sound is expansive sound staging and depth. The clarity and definition can be clearly heard. Be it AV or HiFI the speakers perform pretty well. I am using it as my Dolby Atmos speakers with my Yamaha RX-A3040 and for HiFi leveraging on Oppo HA-1 as DAC/Pre-Amplifier. Both configuration leverage on the Marantz MM7025 Power Amplification. Overall sound is very satisfying. Watching Movie especially action and scifi movies really shine and hits you like a brick wall. For HiFi the sound bites neutral to warm. The rhythm is almost perfect for this pair of speakers. Great speakers if you pair it well. I tried using this with Audiolab and fits very well as well. Very happy buyer.
