The elegance of the McIntosh equipment with the blue meters is often praised. They are entertaining to watch, but even the controls feel good and are simple to use. Greetings Honestly can’t believe how few reviews there for this McIntosh. After 6 years of amazing separates from Classe, Krell, Audio Research, Belles, McCormack, Herron, Coda and them some... This is the sound I’ve been searching for. Musical, Transparent, and utterly cohesive. Never ventured into McIntosh before, always curious. Warm ? Yeah a little, but not the best description. I prefer Musical, Cohesive and properly controlled with no strain. My favorite sound to date and I’ve been on the separates bandwagon with very respectable cables all along from Straightwire, MIT and Acoustic Zen. Hook up your Thiel 3.6 or any Modern Focals and go for a ride . This is the most involving playback I’ve been waiting for ! Cheers !

Weaknesses? None, yearn a slightly more impactful sound, then use it as a preamp on a serous heavyweight amp, and let the McIntosh guide the way
