JBL LC1 Center Speaker Bookshelf Speakers

JBL LC1 Center Speaker Bookshelf Speakers

DESCRIPTION

The JBL LC1 is the Center Speaker component for your Studio L speaker system. Certainly you could add this fabulous center to any multichannel configuration, but you'll get the best results by matching all the speakers in your system. Like musical instruments, speakers have timbre, they have character, and tend to color sound in a manner unique to their manufacture. Studio L speaker systems create the perfect environment for listening to SACDs.

I'm using the LC1 as the center channel for my surround system, with L830s as my mains and surrounds. I paid about $114 for it at the Harmon Kardon store on eBay and it was MORE than worth it! With two 5.25" woofers this thing puts out usuable bass down to 40K. The center channel handles a lot more than just voices and the LC1 accurately reproduces any sound. However, like the rest of the Studio L series this thing really shines with voices, in movies and especially with music. Put on some Nora Jones or Diana Krall and it just makes your knees weak. Really. incredible center channel for the money.

I have owned a lot of center channel speakers and this speaker I found to be the one you do not need to always fuss with to hear voices. I purchased from Ebay, re-manufactured. I have been an Infinity enthusiast for years. I replaced the CC3 with this speaker after many auditions. i use the 830 bookshelf for mains and the Definitive 800 for surrounds. I use a Denon 3800 as a receiver and am extremely pleased with the Blu ray, music, and dish net sound.
