I bought the Tempo 25 to replace a pair of Yara (Classic) and the Yara sub. After a bit of positioning, the show could begin. The Tempo 25 is a special edition of the current Tempo. The main audible upgrades are: nextgen WBT cable terminals and the HHCT tweeters from the topmodel Cardeas ($ 18,000 a pair). I had heard the difference between the standard Tempo`s and the 2-version at the Dealer`s which convinced me to spend the extra $750 on the latter. I also ordered the special VCF-feet ($ 250 for a set of 8), that use the String Suspension principle and give a much better result than the standard spikes. I tried both and the difference amazed me. Driven by a Naim nait XS and the Cambridge Audio Azur 840C CD player, the result is an inviting, detailed, smooth and creamy sound...it is strange to have detailed and creamy in one speaker, normally these are contradictionary. Bass is very deep and controlled, especially considering the size of these speakers. Yes, it is a matter of taste, some might like it more punchy. If you prefer a sound that grows on you and seduces you to long hours of listening, rediscovering your old CD`s, I strongly recommend to consider these brilliant products from Audio Physic. |
