Strength:

Had these speakers for quite a few years and always found them to be lack luster performance. That was until last week, when surfing you tube for my new love of vinyl and turntables that I came upon videos about position and speaker set up. It was like turning night to day!! The sound stage has transformed from dull and weak to bright and punchy with vocals dead centre good mid range and high end treble, found I needed to also change my 12" front firing sub, to a 8" down firing sub, adjusting my amp to zero bass and treble (Yamaha RX-V463) yes entry level 5.1 home theatre receiver. The room I have the system set up in is 4 x 4.4 mtr with 2.7 mtr ceiling. Speakers are set on the long wall with the supplied isolation spikes screwed in. Speakers are positioned about 0.5 mtr off the wall and set up with toe in and rake. Believe the speakers still have more in them if moved further into the room but, my wife is more about assetics than sound quality.

Weakness:

Not sure how they would be in a larger room and the timber finish on the cabinets sun fades easily. Also do lack bass with out a sub woofer

Paire payée 417$ can. incluant transport et taxes.

Strength:

Lyrics were clear and recognizable, instruments and voices were clearer, bells were perfectly characterized, brass instruments blended in naturally and were more muted and not to bright sounding. Picked up more subtlties and little nuances that were'nt noticable before (overall), in the surround sound mode and noted better separation between the speakers to boot.

Weakness:

None as of yet

Tried these puppies out on the jazz channel and listened to some different pieces with some added brass in the background (sax and trumpet) and (surprise) found myself not turning so quickly to a different channel but rather instead actually enjoying hearing their clearer, more subtle yet distinct and pleasing to the ear sounds coming from those 3/4 inch titanium tweeters rather than the usual harsh, irritating and grating sounds coming from the old silk dome tweeters that I had originally owned!

Customer Service

Staff were cordial, patient and unobtrusive.

Strength:

Clear sound, titanium dome tweeter, very good sound for the price. Nice cherry-wooden finish. Good size.

Weakness:

Toy like grill. The bass is good, but maybe more could be good. But since the bass is delivered by 2 13cm woofer, i guess it's not a weakness.

I purchased these pair of F30 to replace the little front speakers came with my ONKYO receiver.
The first thing that got my attention was it's nice cherry-wooden finish, then I read it can handle 120w more than I need. Most speaker's impidance in the store was 6ohm and the F30 hahdle 8ohm, which match perfectly to my receiver.
I use them mostly as front for a 5.1 setup, at the beginning I used single wire to hook them, then bi-wired them and I noticed a change in the mids. The sound improved a lot, so I recomend people to bi-wire this speaker instead of using the bypass.
Then I learned I had to break in the speakers in order to get better sound, I had them breakin in for about 200 hour with all kind of music.
For the price paid I think this is a good speaker. Most people might think otherwise, but I think it's not the speaker's fault. I mean, many people get this 450 USD speaker and expect a 4500 USD spaker sound, which is quite impossible.
I compared the F30 to a 630 dollar YAMAHA when I was purchasing, and this one sounded far better than the Yamaha. The vocals are clearer, better mids and the bass is smoother.
The F30 has titanium dome tweeter, personally I like more this kind of tweeter than the soft dome. I consider it makes the high clearer, but it might sound too harsh for some listener. Well this is just my modest opinion.

Strength:

Nice looking.

Weakness:

Poor bass.

A nice looking speaker. They arrived in great shape and I thought they sounded good until I compared them to other speakers. Just don't sound as good as older models of Celestions. I think that Celestion would want to protect their rep better than this. I find the sound pretty disappointing on all frequency ranges. I guess you only get what you pay for. Maybe sounds ok for quieter type of music.
I will probably sell mine.

Strength:

Good clear highs and mids & excellent price.

Weakness:

None so far

Purchased these speakers last week. They are the first new speakers since 1977, when I brought a pair of Norman Lab 10's. While, so far at least, the Celestions aren't as, 'mellow', as the Normans, they do have very good mids, highs and the bass is good as well. For the money, they warrent some serious consideration for someone looking for some new floorstanders.
