Bought these speakers a couple of months ago and am completely blown away by them. I have them coupled up to a Linn classik movie and a Linn Axis Deck and they were made for each other.

Great looks, wonderfull midrange, varm & full with great punch !
Weakness:
Hmm, If you're a big tecno fan, you should just buy a cv :D I totally agree with the rest of you. I've had this speaker for 3 years now, and it never stops to impress.

Strength:
Clarity, tight bass very open mids and highs. Brilliant sound stage. Good looking. Great value for money.
Weakness:
None. I bought these speakers as a replacement of Dynaudio 52SE after considering seriously on Vienna Acoustics Mozart, Energy Veritas 2.3, Monitor Audio RS8 and Magnepan 1.6. The main objective was to get a floor standing pair instead of bookshelves under two grands. My findings were, Vienna, great speakers but slightly expensive for me while Energy was exceptional but more expensive and just too heavy. The monitors look good but that killed me with its tweeters. Maggies are very nice but just too big for my room. As I was so used to with Dyn's, smoothness with clarity should be the basic requirements for me. When I auditioned Dali, I immediately figured out the clarity in the mids is way better than Dyn's but the it lacks bass and it is slightly bright. My dealer was kind enough to borrow me a floor model for listening in my settings. When drove them thru' my tube preamp and solid state amp and a sub-bass - man, this is totally different. It simply blew me away - what a nice sounding speaker. Mids are so natural and soundstage is so realistic, I almost forgot the presence of the speakers. Well, this came after a couple of days of experimenting with different speaker cables, bi-wiring and correct speaker positioning I created the "perfect" sound for me. I used a pair of cables that took the edge off the highs and provided a decent bass. Usually I put cables from Monster or Tara Labs. But I found a pair of bi-wires from a not so well known company using 12 gauge OFC wire with helical windings gave me the best result. I simply got the replacement of my Dyn's that rewarded me with a way better sound and value. I didn't look further and bought them. Similar Products Used: B&W, Dynaudio, |

Strength:
1. Very balanced sound, even in low volume 2. Efficient 3. Beautiful design
Weakness:
None to me I was looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers and bought the B&W DM602. However, i felt that i was not getting enough low bass. So they had to go and i chanced upon the Dali Suite 2.8. My first impression was that these speakers are beautiful. They are not bulky and the wood finish is very nice. The simplistic design blends in well with my furniture. So i hooked it up with my Nad c320bee and i was floored by the sound. They are the most balanced speakers i've ever heard even before burn-in. So far, it sounds great with jazz, classical and acoustical music. Patricia Barber sounds sooo sexy and the percussion is crisp. The bass is just right; not overpowering and flabby. The Dali sound is more laid back than the B&W overall. I like it more because it is not fatiguing at all. The Dali is front ported so speaker placement is simple. I tried a few different positions and it did not change a lot. It is also very effecient. My Nad drives it plenty loud. This is an excellent value floor-standing speaker. I can't believe these speakers are not reviewed more. |

Strength:
-Value for money -Allround sound -Looks
Weakness:
Are you kidding? I wonder why no one has written a review on these speakers before.Dali may be the most underrated brand. They are great value for the money as they perform just as good, if not better, as many more expensive speakers. The Suite 2.8 performs best when bi-wired. Full bodied sound, great soundstage, very detailled, never harsh and pretty deep bass. |
