Strength:
Natural, almost three dimensional sound, excellent balance.
Weakness:
None, as far as I'm concerned. If you have a (semi-) tube-amp, these speakers will send you to heaven (or hell, if you're into that kind of thing). I've spent a lot of time comparing speakers. I was even willing to spend 3000 dollars or more. But these speakers just did it for me. Mid, low, high, you will hear everything in detail and good balance, from Bach to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. A lot of reviewers mention that you need an powerful amp, but that is not my experience. My Shengya hybrid integrated amp is 2x70 W and that is plenty. |

Strength:
Powerfull vocal & tight base.
Weakness:
Does not work well with inexpensive setup. I have never experience anything like that. It is so beautiful that I can hear it for almost all day long and not getting tired. The cds I almost give up for listening and now I am listening them. The vocal is the main strength of Dyna, mid is OK and highs are great. But these speakers need power a lot of power and of course the setup is very expansive as well. If one can feed it right it will rock. Smooth and very tight base, treble is very sweet. The good thing about dyna is it will go up and up if you go up with your system upgrading. For the money you pay it is almost twice as much as you get. Conclusion it is a fine production of Denmark. And frankly speaking maybe I will not buy any other brand speaker in the near future rather than Dynaudio. Similar Products Used: B & W, Mission. |

Strength:
Sturdily built. Neutral. Very full-bodied midrange and sweet highs.
Weakness:
Does not support spade connectors. Need a really good amp (aka expensive) to drive it properly. do not support biwiring or biamping. This pair of speakers are fair value for the sound quality. But it really needs a beefy amp to drive. Not until I upgraded to a Plinius did I hear the sweet high and liquid mid range from them. It is not easy to get extented and tuneful bass unless the amp is up to it. Once well partnered with a good amp, it can be driven to very high volume level without strain. In fact, it is superbly dynamic at high vol level. I do not use the foam bung for the rear port as it inhibits this dynamism to a great extent. This speaker can proudly complement a very expensive setup. Similar Products Used: Missions speakers. |

Bass is precise Mid is soft and natural Highs are very natural and long

Strength:
Dynamic, smooth, neutral, open, control bass.
Weakness:
Low sensitivy - need a muscle amp or two to sing, takes along run time to run in. I had auditioned similarly priced speakers such as Kef Q series and their Reference series(wonderful high but flabby bottom). The B&W CDM7 and 9 NT - cost much more but mids are lacking and the music just doesn''t quite jell. Also listened to ALR Jordon, Krix (Aussie made) and Eltax all sounded too harsh after prelong hearing. When I was just about to give up my search, I happened to walk pass the 70s - wow! They were matched with Musical Fidelity A3CR power and pre amps. Using the Arcam Alpha 7se as source. The 70s sounded just right to my ears. Everything comes together so coherently. Bass is fast and tight, mids is neutral and high is detail and open. These babies love drums - try em'' with Crouching Tiger and Hindered Dragon sound track - the dynamic and slam of the drum kit is amazing! They also rock n roll with ya and yet you can have a ball listening to jazz (try George Michael - Songs of the last Century). All I can say give em'' a try. Similar Products Used: B&W 604 |

Strength:
The sound they provide. At the price (10500SEK), I doubt there is a superior speaker.
Weakness:
takes muscle to make them play at their best. After been around listening to NHT, B&W, Dali and TDL, I ran into the A70s.. There was NO competition. I could hardly sit still. They are really easy to place, and they have a wonderful control and transparancy through the whole range. After the breaking in period, they have become my dearest love.. Sorry mum.. |

Strength:
Deep, well controlled bass. Acurate, clear midrange and sweet treble. Good build quality despite the vinyl finish.
Weakness:
Vinyl finish - but the money clearly goes on the drivers and crossover. Longish run-in period. Bought these at an amazing price of the equivalent of GBP 750 in Switzerland. The list price in the UK is GBP 1100! Similar Products Used: Too many to mention lots of mission and B&W and B*se |
