Strength:

Crystal clear. Absolutely amazing. I have a stockpile of receivers and speakers. These by far exceed my expectations. My original tower speakers are a set of Kenwood KVS-310's I never thought i could find a set of towers that could beat the sound the KVS-310's produce, my second favorite is my Paradigm Reference studio 60 v1's.. Today these Mission 705's have surpassed any and all of my Tower speakers.. Very very pleased !! 5/5

Weakness:

No weakness. Highly recommend these tall boys !

This is the largest and most expensive speaker Mission ever made. Got them new to use with my 150W Denon PMA-1560 and Marantz CD-17 player. They needed a good break in period that involved a lot of very high volume playing.
They perform superbly for medium and high volume listening in large rooms. Bass is smooth, defined and deep without being boomy or muddy at all. Middle range is perfect, absolutely perfect. The highs are strong and super smooth. Overall this is a very finely balanced speaker that is in excellent control of all frequencies.
If you listen at low volumes or if you have a small listening room these giants of speakers are not for you.
If you have a large listening room and you don't listen at low volumes, then the Mission 705 is very hard to beat. They are that good!

After a long search i found a pair of Mission 705, massive speakers which are build to last.
Of all the Mission speakers i owned so far, this one seems to be most balanced and full of power.
Sound is full of bass, good mid and a high that backgrounds in a very nice way.
Note that these speakers need power (and space), played them on a 105 w channel amp which was good but they really need at least double to show their class in my opinion.
Goes along with all kinds of music, would recommend them if you listen live recordings a lot.
Thanks for reading

Strength:

Sound is the best I have heard from any speaker in this price range, strong effortless bass, uncolored highly accurate sound reproduction at any listening level. I love these speakers.

Weakness:

None.

These are the finest sounding speakers I have used in there price range and rivals the sound quality of many much higher priced speakers. They have great accuracy / detail at any listening level. The bass response is tight and accurate, very effortless and very impressive, the midrange is uncolored, delivering great musical transparentcy and impact, and the tweeters reproduce the highs clear and uncolored as well. The size is quite large but this is an insugnificant matter after hearing these speakers.

Customer Service

Do not know, I have never had any problems from the 705;s.

Similar Products Used:

Difinitive technologies bp20 towers, polk audio sda-??? (it has been a while), the polks were nice sounding but not near the quality and power handling and low bass reproduction of the 705,s.

Strength:

Deep powerful bass, very nice balanced, high power handling, Price!

Weakness:

none.

You can't get anything similar for this price. Their sound is crystal clear and powerful, but you need a real amp to drive the 705. They draw tremendous amounts of current at high bass levels.
The bass response is very good, lots of tight, deep bass. Don't even think of a subwoofer! Midrange response is also outstanding, it works in its own vented enclosure. Treble: perfect, not too bright.

They perform superb with modern music (rock, dance,..) The ideal speakers for DJs at home, they reveal the slightest mismatch im mixing. I can't rate them for classic and jazz.

Unfortunately they're discontinued now (i think they are too big, 140 cm height but same power handling as the 704). Go and get a pair as long as they remain available.

Strength:

Excellent Bass, nice, tight treble. Looks, prominace.

Weakness:

Size, soooo very tall, power hungry.

I recently purchased these speakers from a private dealer, and boy was I shocked when they arrived...the size od these things are immense (1400mm)

They are very good indeed for Home Cinema, With terminator 2 and Aliens pumping out suspence and action the missions are happy to oblidge with an encompassing sound.

Its a shame these things are soo big, and yes, they do need a large room to operate, but I dont regret buying them. I hate having to shove them into my small room, crushing the sound a bit, but its not such a problem with Home Cinema sound, its more the music that needs the big room.

I know that with a powerful 2channel amp these are very good indeed...

Big speakers that sound great, continuasly winning awards for sound and build quality, excellent as front speakers on a cinima system, well built and look impressive with three cobes and a tweeter.

What a differnce between 704 and 705.Both has the same watt power and almost thefrequnce range(705 has 30 - 20000Hz and 704 has 35 - 20000Hz), but when
you look on them the 705 has one more bass unit and their price is about
3/2 of 704.The 704's bass sounds at high powers powerful and clear. The 705's
two bass units work each unit about on 1/2 at full power. It very minimizes the high levels bass distortion. The bass is incredible. The fenomenal clarity and
accuracy, tremendous dynamic and power even on deep 30Hz.Totaly forget on
bass booming. These are words I sayabout 705's bass.
For this price I would not do better buy than 705.

The sound up the bass will allow you to enjoy all the types of music how
it is possible.Midrange full of energy and beauty with sweet detailed trebles.
Stereo sound stage is great.I think a small differnce of 705 from other
loudspeakers is that at 705 doesn't matter on volume.

Built quality goes with sound quality.Take care when you place them in the room.
Bad placement in room can hardly affect the sound quality.

I think there will surely be other people such happy with Mission 705 as me,
you could be one of them.I give them 5 stars and if it would be able 6 for their
bass.

Strength:

HUGE bass response! Great for dance, trance and chemicals. Also handling on high power is great. No distorsion at all.

Weakness:

Treble could be a litter better in my point of view.

I have this speakers for almost a year now and still amazed!
The huge bass response makes me shiver every time when i watch the good old Terminator 2! :) Also when playing music they are great. good detail altough the treble is somewhat "soft" but the midrange is very good. Overal these "babies" :) are great performers. I love them!!
