This is a speaker with fantastic value for money. Very nice, almost perfect veneering (for ex. ebony), very good efficiency and quite versatile. There's only 2 restrictions: Source, amp and cables must be on the neutral, transparent side but cannot be in a thin or harsh direction. Warmth AND precision would be suitable, too. And, the room should not be smaller than 30 square meters, rather bigger, as otherwise you'll get too much bass ! Fantastic highs, clear mids and taught, deep and powerful bass are on the menu. Its sister model GX 200 is similar, with less bass volume. In the meantime, they were both replaced by their successors, Gold 300 and 200. Those 2 sound yet slightly better than the former models. Looks are almost identical. All 4 mentionned speakers are warmly recommended.
