Strength:
The base will charge the batteries
Weakness:
sound, comfort, design, structural integrity, tuning, I purchased this unit to replace a unit to listen to TV. I had a recoton W500 that was excellent, but just wore out. The RCA WNP 160 has been a total disapointment. Poor sound, very uncomfortable, wont hold tuning, and the headband broke the first week. I am going to buy a good unit(other than RCA) and throw this piece of junk in the trash. Similar Products Used: Recoton W500 |

Strength:
Good audio frequency response and channel seperation.
Weakness:
Hissing, signal drop outs, short range (prior to mod as above). Overall sound quality was good, but I experienced the same problems with hiss and fades as reported by others. I have, however, come up with a fairly simple modification to noticeably improve on these weaknesses. Remove the padded earcushion on the left headphone cup by carefully pulling it loose by the outer edges. Then remove the three phillips head screws (marked by black arrows) and lift out the transducer. You'll see a 4" black wire glued to the inside edge of the cup (one end soldered to the PC board). This is the receive antenna. Carefully unsolder it from the PC board and replace it with an 8" piece of similar solid conductor insulated wire. Position the new antenna wire along the inside edge of the earphone cup and secure in place with glue or tape as needed. Re-assemble the left earphone in reverse order of dis-assembly. This mod made a very noticeable performance improvement in my phones. |

I would not recommend this product. 1) 15 ft away popping sounds 2) Hissing sound 3) Difficult at best to try to tune. I would not recommend this product. 1) 15 ft away popping sounds 2) Hissing sound 3) Difficult at best to try to tune. Similar Products Used: Radio Shack store brand |

Strength:
semi-comfortable, works well if you stay near the base (why not get a corded set instead?), auto-tuning mechanism
Weakness:
signal drop at about 15 feet, advertised range is nowhere near what it actually is I've been looking for a good set of wireless headphones, and after buying these, my search continues. My first set of wireless headphones was returned to the store because the signal would constantly drop, even if I was right next to the base. The RCA 160T doesn't have this problem, but range is an issue. After moving about 10 feet away from the base, I noticed some slight fade-out and moving any further resulted in dead zones with no signal at all. Not worth the $100 I paid. I'll be returning them soon. Similar Products Used: Acoustic Research AW791 - these sucked too, worse than the 160T |

Strength:
Squeezes your head real tight. So if you ears that stick out, this may help.
Weakness:
Squeezes your head tightly - uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. Signal breaks up often. I honestly feel this is a very poor piece of electronics. I see there are several other poor reviews on this website and I wish I would have read these reviews before buying this thing. I wanted this product so I could listen to MP3's on my computer but still be free to walk around the house without being restricted to a wire or infrared. Unfortunately this RCA device completely drops signal from time to time as you walk around the house. sometimes I lose the audio signal just by turning my head while sitting at the computer no more than 5 ft from the base unit. Strength:
Comes with all the cables you'll need. Fits comfortably.
Weakness:
Background hissing. Signal gets lost too much. Anoying high-pitch beep when you try the built-in autotune switch. Nice looking product, decent sound. Plan on returning this. Similar Products Used: None. |

Strength:
Great sound quality for the average user, and even reaches beyond the range that it advertised!
Weakness:
Headband on it is a bit tight, but not uncomfortable. Great product! Works perfectly even with two other sets of these in the house. Can receive other receivers signals, although not to often. Great product at a great price! |

Strength:
None, really
Weakness:
Uncomfortable with glasses on. They squeeze your ears. Signal reception is spotty at close range. Constantly have to reset my signal channel. I used them at work and someone else has them also. For some reason, I reieve their signal better than mine! Then one of the head springs (or whatever they are called) broke. I''m trying to get a replacement from Radio Crack. |

Weakness:
they are to tight and poorly constructed the plastic head- bands broke in the first month of use as for sound quality very poor with background hiss Very uncomfortable to wear even for short periods of time. Sitting directly in front of the transmitter less than 10 feet away turning your head to the left or right you could loose the signal. They are now unuseable with broken head-bands. |
