I work second shift and my wife works first shift plus I'm hearing impaired. For years before I discovered wireless phones (RCA WHP150 Wireless Headphones) and when I come home I prefer to watch a little TV before bed. At time we owed a very small home so the living room was right next to the bedroom. So, when I Turned up valume to where I could hear the TV, it was way too loud for wife to try and sleep. Years later I came across the WHP150 and turned out to be the best investment of my live and hers too. I own ten pair just incase one stops working. I have two in use. One up stairs and one down witch I've been using 24/7 for the past 16 years and only one problem. The plastic on the cushion pads hve peeled off and that only made the ear sweat. I can walk about my entire home and keep a good signal through walls and even mow my yard and listen to a TV show or my MP3 player. I've tried all the newer RCA wireless head phone but for distance and sound quality so far nothing can compare and that's why I own ten pair. When they come up for bid on ebay you can bet I'm probably one of the bidders. This item has been discontinued by RCA and very hard to find. |

Strength:
good reception, decent bass, WIRELESS!!!
Weakness:
ear fatigue, weak treble and midrange, terrible static noise when trying to tune into frequency. Overall I think that RCA has done a decent job on these wireless headphones. It claims that the frequency range is 30-13mhz but the bass reproduction actually surprized me, sounding more like 20mhz-13mhz. So, to say the least, I was happy with that result. It could use better imaging though, suffering from lack of crisp treble response and muddled mid-range response. But, I have to say that I am pleased with the performance overall and especially the mobility that these babies bring. Similar Products Used: none |
