I perchased my first Carver C-9 back in 1987 and used it with my first pair of magnepan SMGa's. I was extremely impressed with the sound especially what it produced through my maggies. I now own a pair of Magneplanner MG 20's and to me it's just as impressive now as it was then if not more. I feel that for those who have never experienced the C-9 set up properly and on the right speakers are truly missing an audio delight. To bad that Carver is no longer producing the C-9. I have grown so accustomed to it's effects over the past 13 years that I would not want to listen without.
