If you like the dry analytical sound of the NHT Superone's, you'll love these speakers. They sound like the Superone's on steroids. The bass is thick and boomy, which overuns a thin midrange. The highs are tinny and bright. However the one strength these speakers have is a huge soundstage. Even so, instruments are poorly defined and there is an overall lack of focus. |

The PC1's are the entry level speaker in Phase Technology's Audiophile PC Range. They are a small bookshelf speakers, beautifully handcrafted in Oak and made in the US. |

I recently purchased 2 pair of the PC-1's and a PC center for a new home theater system I put together. After listening to many different speakers including, Mission 701's, Paradigm Titans, Klipsch KSB 1.1 and 2.1's I kept returning to the PC-1's. These speakers are incredible. Yes there are better sounding speakers but for the price I couldn't find anything close. The other equipment I purchased was a Denon AVR-2700 and a HSU Research TN-825. After I purchased these speakers I went with a friend to listen to some B&W, Theil, & Martin Logans. After listening to these incredibly expensive speakers I was even more pleased with my purchase. While they are not as good as the Theil's I felt they sounded as good as the B&W's and better than the Martin Logans. They also weren't anywhere close to the price of any of the three speakers. If your looking for a speaker in the $500.00 price range these are speakers you should hear! |
