Simple, efficient and straigtforward. Offers isolation and balanced power in one chassis. Capable of 1KVA that is more than enough for the average audio enthusiast combined equipment loads.

The unit will not work well with power inputs above 117 VAC. Operating the stock unit from a standard 122 VAC mains will result in a "boosted" secondary power that is beyond safe operation. My unit delivered 131 VAC and almost cooked my tube amps. You either need a Variac, or to implement the 'solution' shown on the Transcendent web site. I opted to order a replacement transformer from Avel Lindberg that had a 55-0-55 VAC secondary. Solved the problem permanently.

This Balanced Power kit offers a simple and practical solution for Balanced Power operation of Hi-Fi audio and video equipment. A bare-bones solution for those not able to afford more expensive products.
