Strength:
FLEXIBILITY
Weakness:
SLIGHT LEAN NEEDS ADJUSTMENT THE STAND IS GREAT. I HAVE A SONY XBR400 AND THE STAND IS HOLDING IT UP. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THE SLIGHT LEAN FORWARD IT DOES ON CARPET ONLY WIH THE TV ON IN, ALTHOUGH NOT VISABLE TO THE EYE. I NOTICED IT WITH MY SMALL LEVEL WITHOUT THE 250 POUND MONSTER IT''S ALRIGHT. THE STAND HAS ADJUSTABLE FEET AND A SMALL ADJUSTMENT DIRECTLY UNDER THE TOP SHELF. MY PROBLEM IS I HAVE TO WAIT TILL MY FRIENDS COME TO MOVE THE TV TO MAKE THE CHANGES. THE IS COOL IWAS EVEN ABLE TO PUT MY INFINITY IL36 ON THE SHELF. 9INCHES HIGH I HAD TO NOT INSTALL A SHELF THOUGH BUT I''M HAPPY BECAUSE NO OTHER STAND COULD SUPPORT A 250 TV AND GIVE THE FLEXIBILITY OF THAT AND THE XXL CENTER CHANNEL, AND ANOTHER SHELF FOR MORE STUFF Similar Products Used: SONY XBR TV STAND |

Strength:
Elegance, ease-of-assembly, price, capacity
Weakness:
None detected thus far I spent several months looking for designer furniture quality stands that would complement the modern/minimalist look of my new living room, while housing up to 6 hi-fi components, a TV, and a center channel speaker. In the end, the AVS4201 was the only stand that met my needs at a reasonable price. I cannot comment on its durability yet, but it seems to be more than equal to the demands I've put on it. By the way, I had a great exprerience buying it online from goodguys.com, who beat the best price I'd found elsewhere and delivered this 150 pound behemoth for free and within 2 days. Similar Products Used: Too many to list, but include stands from BDI, IKEA, and various other manufacturers |

Strength:
Very stylish/eye-pleasing; easy to assemble; terrific cable management system; fully open-concept allows components to dissapate heat easier; colour matches most components (black); greater height for TV; plenty of space for components;
Weakness:
very heavy unit when received unassembled/packed in delivery box; top shelf misaligned; will get dusty, quickly; price; strength?! Within the last 6-8 months, I have been assembling a relatively modest home theater setup for my family room which at the beginning of the year consisted of only a 4 year old Sony 27" TV, matching stand and VCR. About $4,500 later, I added a DBS receiver, DVD player, A/V receiver and 5.1 speaker set up and quickly came to a couple of conclusions: firstly, my TV stand could barely handle 3 components (which forced me to temporarily banish the VCR to a closet shelf); and secondly, a garden variety TV stand (like the one I had) simply did not "suit" the standards set by the rest of the setup, especially if I were to crown it all by replacing the 27" with the Sony Wega 36-XBR400 (as is my intention). As I had read in a home theatre mag somewhere, you will enjoy your system while you're watching it, but you can and will appreciate the furniture you surround your system with at all times of the day, even when you (and your visitors) aren't watching a thing.
