Excellent, sturdy, strong - attractive design. All the metal has a black somewhat crinkled finish, the wood inserts are a grained dense wood with a black enamel sheen. never scratched. I bought it in July 1995 for $380 for a Linn reference system. I did buy skeets for the floor pins. It's absolutely stable for my LP-12. It's been through several housing relocations and has never evidenced any scratches or discolorations from sun exposure. Absolutely great product. I wish I could find the company today.
