I just want to let fellow Act-3 owners know, in case they didn't...
Do you wish you didn't have to wait after powering up to hear that "tick" before you can switch inputs? Each of those 8 input selector buttons on the unit can serve as "power on" and input selection. So if you have to get up to load a DVD anyways, just hit "A/V disc" (or whatever) and load your movie.
Too bad this doesn't work on the ACT3's remote, but I use the Marantz RC2000MkII. You can "double click" the source that you want to control and the unit will power on, be selected for that input, and your remote will be ready to control that source too!

I chose 5 and 4 stars eventhough I didn't give a review so as to not change the avg too much. But I have few things to say in addition to all the good things that others have said. No hum, no reliabilty problem. Just sweet looks and sound.
