I must say this is the best preamp I’ve ever owned, I had a B&K 30, Sunfire TGP v3 preamp sold them both to get this one. Now in my opinion the B&K sounded the best but lacked the features, HDMI, DTS-HD ect… no phono input. The sound quality of the 7005 is really good for a preamp with XLR’s, Airplay, all the latest doby surrounds. I brought mine off a dealer on eBay for about $1100 NIB! I am using my old Harman Kardon 2.1 power amp they play well together though I love to get my hands in a B&K Reference 200.5 or 200.7 (even better). I’ve never heard it but I’m betting it probably sounds better then my HK amp (don’t know for sure). I haven’t checked the reviews on the Marantz power amp but heard the receiver at Best Buy’s. I highly recommend this preamp for cost, quality and features. -Gman
