Strength:
It sounds good I have all 3 pieces the P501 and the eq101 also it delivers clean clear sound at any level I’m using Kef Cresta 2 and Kef Cresta 1 and I don't usually run them at high levels. I also use EV 12trxb from the 60’s and Kef Q55’s sometimes to change things up. The simulated stereo button for mono sound is a nice option too. Weakness:
For me it really doesn’t have any weaknesses at the price point yes there’s better and more expensive equipment but for me it works just fine Price Paid: 150

Bought it second hand. Got the entire system for $100 bucks.. all I wanted was the preamp but hell take it all for that price. Have the preamp running with an old pioneer 6 disc, A Carver 753 power amp, and 2 Magneplanar 2.7QR speakers.. I like it :) |

Perfect for a simple 2-channel stereo system. Has seven inputs, one on the front panel. Paid $175 on ebay. The only feature I miss is a subwoofer output. It sounds great, like nearly all solid-state stereo equipment. |

Very well built pre-amp with all the inputs you need for a simple, quality system. I have opened up the hood, and not to bad, really simple, but clean sound, and any universal remote will work with it. Great open sound, m-501 amp with this pre-amp combo is almost as good as the rotel rb-1050 and rc-1070 that I sold. That line speaks for itself. Don't listen to the other guy, the higher the volume goes, the more powerful and clean sounding it gets. GREAT PRE-AMP FOR THE MONEY, CHEAP ON EBAY, AS WELL AS THE M-501 is avail cheap. GREAT COMBO! |
