Dr. Doom's post doesn't make sense. He agrees that no one can make a product as good as the Theta for half the price but rates the performance a 1 star. If you think that it isn't worth the price than rate the value a 1 star like you did and not the performance that you stated is very good. As far as someone making something just as good for less and weighing just as much, I sure don't see them out there with processors weighing close to 50lbs. It is a brick that is in there. It is high cost parts like shielding and power supplies etc. that adds to the weight of a highend processor like Theta. Last thing is that all dacs don't sound closely or largely the same. The Theta dacs are very alive and forward sounding while those of proceeds are a more neutral and laidback sound. I used my money and research to buy the best one of the best, a Theta Casablanca. Instead of giving me advice on not reading reviews and buying smarter, I think you should quit giving obvious great products a 1 star, it reveals how little you do know.

Great processor period. dr.doom has to wonder why they took his previous posts off shows clearly that he has no insite into the product except to ramble and be upset because he really can't afford it. You'll look long and hard to find better than the Theta. There aren't that many highend processors out there. If something else sounds better, it is more than likely due it being a better match with their equipment than the sound being better.
