Weakness:
Reliability Many, many people have been saying that this receiver is unreliable. I didn't believe that Aiwa could possibly put out a product with such a high failure rate. When Fry's put this receiver on sale, I thought it was a great opportunity and grabbed it. Within three days of opening the box, the left channel went dead. I haven't even played 10 CDs! |

Strength:
Clean Atrractive Style, High Power. DTS decoder
Weakness:
no bass and treble controls on remote, small display info. This is an outstanding receiver for the money. 120w into 5 channels produce crisp clear sound with the JBL speakers in my home theater system. My only gripe is with the tone controls, there is a built in electonic equalizer for tone controls. This is accessed only at the receiver. There are plenty of digital inputs to connect a number of sources. |

Strength:
Lots of DSP settings, customizable EQ, lots of inputs
Weakness:
Construction of amp is awful, it blows out after about a week of use. I do NOT recommend this product. This would be a great receiver if the subwoofer channel and the left front channel didnt blow out after a week of using it. I took it to an aiwa specialist that Aiwa recommended me to and I thought he fixed it, but a week later it blew out again. After reading what people had to say about the D77 I would not recommend buying one of these. |
