Strength:
Good lookin, cheap, flip face
Weakness:
shuts off when volume is loud I bought a 95 silverado extended cab that came witha n aiwa cdc-x927. My only problem with it is whenever the volume is to loud the faceplate will shutoff for around 4secs. then come back on. Is this normal. The driver side rear speaker is blown out. Could this be the problem. please write me at liquidtrav02@hotmail.com if you know. Similar Products Used: rockford fosgate, jl |

Strength:
Whenever it works, it''s decent (yeah, just decent).
Weakness:
It is defective I would like to post a complaint on an AIWA product. I am not very good with picking out electronic equipment, however, I love to listen to music. I purchased an cd changer for my car (an AIWA 6 disc changer). And it is terrible. I have had to return it twice and it is on the blinks again. All were replaced with a new changer (same product) and they all come up with the same error all over again. I have continually had to spend money on this product having to have it taken out, put back in, taken out again, and so on and so on and at the same time I have to repurchase the electronic insurance warrenty with each new I get. This has become one big headache. And all this in less than a year. This entire line of products is defective. Do not purchase AIWA cd changers. If you know a way for me to post my complaint so that it can go directly to AIWA let me know! Similar Products Used: Panasonic, never stopped working once, never had to return it once. |

Strength:
Powerful output; Easy-to-learn controls; Self-protection circuitry
Weakness:
No DTS; Those @#$%! preset equalizer adjustments As someone else mentioned, the receiver shuts itself off if you accidentally hook up the speakers in a manner which might overload the circuits. Just unplug it and plug it back in and you're good to go. This might not seem so important until you're staring at a darkened receiver and wondering if you've blown the amp. |

Strength:
very good power and lots of inputs and outputs
Weakness:
vocals are dropped too much when you choose the arena, dance, and hall settings. This is my first REAL stereo. I love it. I am using it with a pair of KLH 12" floor speakers as the front, a pair of optimus 8" bookshelf speakers as the rear, a optimus 12" subwoofer, and a optimus center channel. It sounds great. I wiah that the vocals didn't drop so much though. overall it rocks. Its cheap too($160). |

Eventhough this is the first highfi system that I've owned in fifteen years, I have to say that I love it. My Aiwa av70 is the heart of my "home theatre" system that is surrounded by not expensive but effective speakers, Infinity RS3 for the fronts, a 10 inch 100 watt KLH subwoofer, a 120 watt five speaker KLH center channel speaker (excellent and is $99 at Bestbuy) and plain ol' two speaker Radio Shack Optimus for rear channels. I have had the pleasure of listening to three other home theater systems plus the ones they have on display at stores such as Bestbuy, CircuitCity, and American ,my $1000 system sounds better to me especially when I play a DVD on my Magnovox DVD player |

I purchased this receiver about 2 weeks ago, and am impressed with its overall quality and performance overall. It has plenty of power, and the DSP and GEQ modes are very effective, and make the music come to life. My only complaint is that I wish there were regular bass, treble, and volume knobs, rather than the all digital system. Its hard to fine tune bass with only three settings. But it is an excellent receiver, and is a solid value at $250 on sale. |
