It runs very hot with no fan. My Yamaha quite when the fan failed the over heat would shut down the power I use it in my den now with a small fan. Weakness:

Strength:
These have a short lifespan. They are not designed properly. The volume chip that sets the levels will fail over time and the amp section will have one channel louder than the others by about ten to twenty dB. This also happens on anthem Pva-7. Same exact issue. The output transistors and amp remain in working order but something controlling the voltage fails and the output becomes reduced. Anthem wants $500 to fix it. The units are going to be smashed in a YouTube video so that the word gets out not to purchase these products. Weakness:
