The AVR 507 is an outstanding 7.1home theater reciever. I have owned one since 2002. Exellent seperation and definition.Latest one touch technology, upgradable I have used mine on a daily basis for over 10 years. Excellent sound for movies, and music. Everything from rock to classical.Speaker dependant of course. I run a set of eosone 600's, rated up to 300 hundred watts, the 507 has no problem powering them. Also, in wall boston acoustics, and a klipsch sub woofer. I am a music audiophile, the B&K home theater reciever is a very good Home theater receiver. I have owned several sansui g-series recievers(excellent),Denon 5.1(returned for carver 5.1, Yamaha.(mid 70's) Speakers: Peridigm, Easone 600, EPI 500's Yamaha NS 1000's(mid 70's) maybe lacking at the very low end on the bass (very minor) most will never notice. My point is, it is a great option for audiophiles who want an excellent 7.1 home theater receiver, but want to stay true to excellent audio. I beleive it is of higher build quality than its Denon counterpart, and to me, sounds better There is better Definition and Seperation in the midrange, more natral sounding highs. Tighter bass. If price doesn't matter, or if you can get a deal on one, the B&K is one of the best built, best sounding and technologiclly well rounded home theater receivers you can buy today. It's like my sansui G-8000, one of the best ever made. I will never sell them. |
