Strength:
Solid performer with hi current transformer.
Weakness:
Really none I can think of other than the typical manual complaints, as Denon expects its buyers to be "geek oriented" , but its still easy enough to figure out without having to rely on the user manual. The Denon avr-483 is a fantastic receiver for the price. At 70 watts x 5 this is a little misleading, as it is a hi current receiver. Basically that means you can turn up the volume to its maximum potential and get little to no distortion, versus the typical Sony receiver sold at your typical audio video store that claims to have 100 watts (if not more) x 5, and when the volume is turned up to half way, you'll notice a ton of distortion played at mid to high volume levels.
Customer Service Tweeter rep was very knowledgable, and also seemed partial to Denon. Similar Products Used: Denon avr-2802, 3802, 3805 & 4308CI. I'll never buy another brand period when it comes to HT Receivers. |
