Strength:

powerful clean sound and upgradeable features for the future

Weakness:

take some time getting used to the remote but not really a big deal. no performance weaknesses at all!!

I was kind of hesitant to purchase this receiver because of the high price tag but after listening to it I can honestly say that it was worth every single penny. I have never used seperates but I have used several other receivers in my attempt to satisfy my ears and the Denon is without question the best receiver that I have ever heard. The sound is crystal clear and the power seems to bring out the best in my Polk Audio 2000i's. I love the way that the Denon seperates the audio when watching DVD'S, the quality of reproduction is simply superb!! I was using a Sony receiver when trying to make adudio tapes and the quality was terrible but after switching to the Denon I noticed a big difference. My tapes were coming out crystal clear, I was hearing things on my CD'S that I never noticed before. I am far from and audiophile and I don't use fancy seperates or sound meters, I am just an ordinary consumer who wants good quality when spending hard earned money to get it. The Denon delivers quality without compromise and is a wise investment for those who are willing to swallow the price tag. My advice is to match this receiver with a pair of quality speaker and I promise you that you will be satisfied beyond belief, thanks Denon!!!!!!!
