Strength:
Ease of use, strong output, ample amount of inputs/outputs. Reputable Denon name.
Weakness:
Not Dolby Digital. This model was purchased (c)1996 for sub $300 as an entry level reciever. I am using it with Mirage 290's main speakers and center, a Mirage Sub and Mirage FRX-1 surrounds. For a Pro-Logic reciever I am generally impressed with it. I have had no major problems with the reciever and would recommend it to anyone looking for an entry level reciever. |

Strength:
A good budget receiver for surround sound, never given any problems, produces excellent surround sound with my JBL 4800 and Mordaunt Shorts.
Weakness:
A little weak with extreme low end but otherwise a good budget unit, I will soon use it with my PC and then upgrade A great product for an inexpensive price. |

many When we got our den redone about 3 years ago, my dad hired a guy to put together a home-theater/stereo package. Of course, my dad being a lax person, trusted this guy's judgement in choosing the right equipment. Similar Products Used: n/a |
