Strength:
Great power and sound for the money. Power rating comparisons is like 100 watt per channel recievers today. It has a lot of power for its size. Weakness:
But the tuner is kinda sloppy, and could be better . Purchased: Used

recently purchased this receiver used for $150. This was a steal. I love this receiver, The tone that is produced from this little machine is amazing. The sound easily will fill a room. |

Actually I don't quite remember when I bought it but it replaced a NAD 7020. The NAD sounded better but was not very durable. The Denon has served me well since then. I powered my cherished DCM TimeWindows along with Bose 301's. It is a budget receiver pushing 40 watts per channel but the sound was acceptable and better than some that I tried with higher amp ratings. Overall not a bad product. The tuner was not the best however. I recently upgraded to a Onkyo TXSR607. |
