I own this reciever for more than 10 years. So far it is almost as new as the day I bought it ; and that is including its sonic quality ! Well built for its price sound is clean, clear, fast, tight, sounds more powerful than its 43 watts per channel may suggest. I am using the Denon as a spare set to drive a pair of Polk monitor 30 and the results are clarity and articulation of superb quality this side of low budget can offer.

Of course the 365's shortcomings are exposed when compared with amps of audiophile quality ,like the Bryston power amps or even the Acurus amps further down the scale, but then again these are several times the price of the Denons..and also we are talking 43 watts versus 120-200 watts RMS, reciever technology versus true dual mono design, etc etc

Any downside? The phono stage..its too thin and bright ! Not for those who value LP sound . Go get a proper phono amp like the Project tube box or the like. The spring clips that use to accept the loudspeaker cables, when mere banana sockets would be much more appropriate ..come on Denon surely that can be done at minimal costs..especially when better cables of ,say Chord variety is justified ,please these Denons deserves something better than those cheap zip cords. In the final analysis, this is a fine product by any yardstick. Works well, sounds good, even looks quite presentable. Can be further improved by changing to iec sockets to accept up market power cords,it will pay dividents! Highly recommended if you can find one in good condition. I ain't selling mine though!
