Probably has one of the best tuner sections of any receiver. The tuner was able to pick NYC stations 65 miles from home without any problems or noise. However, the receiver claims to have a high current amplifier, but the power output was rather disappointing. I returned the unit because it lacked power to drive my 250W speakers. It had nice and fancy features (especially remote) that owners will probably never use after the first day.

Strength:

Clarity, Power, Over all performance

Weakness:

None

My Sansui is 20 years old but still cranks-65 watts, the Sony is 65watts of crap! But when I hooked up my AVR55
I found out what good sound was all about! When I hooked up the optical connection to my dish I was blown away. I would highly recomend this reciever- Try Ubid. If you don't
think this reciever has enough power for you, Think Again!
