I purchased the AVR 45 a week ago, which I loved, but returned it for the AVR65. I have to say I love it. Every kind of music sounds great from Dave Matthews to DMX. I never knew the potential of my Infinity RS6 speakers until I played a CD with the FL8550 and AVR 65. I have had no lines on my TV or hissing in my speakers. The DTS and DD are crystal clear with exceptional seperation. I have listened to similiar Denon, Yahama, and Sony recievers and they don't compare. I could care less about how easy the remote is to use, I buy audio equipment for sound! |

I recently bought an AVR-65, and I am not experiencing any of the problems that other people in this group are having. The AVR-65 is the best sounding reciever I have ever owned. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. |

Purchased AVR 65 in Feb. No problems, sounded great, very pleased. 5 weeks later, lost center channel sound, all modes, nothing from left or rights of what was in center. Called HK, advised to take to authorized service center. 4 weeks later, not fixed, figured out needed to order service manual. 4 weeks later, not fixed, still no service manula, nearly 4 weeks, many calls to HK, reciever fixed. set up, no center channel sound, but missing sound is now in left and right. call HK, returned unit and new unit received. Set up all is fine and sounds great, no video. If this continues and HK has fixed problems with avr 65, 4+ stars, if still problems, don't buy. I have had HK products for a long time, but this has been a disappointment. still, great idea and price but |

I´ve bought my avr65 3 weeks ago and the problems have just started.I really like this amp but the loud noice from the front/center speakers which start at around -20db are extremely anoying. And when full osd is used the background is green blue and grey at the same time, making it anoying to use. |

I went to UBID.com and did a product search for HK and found only one product of HK compared to the thousands Sri Dev was talking about. I know a friend who's had the AVR20 for 4 years running it hard every day no problem. I've had the 65 and have had absolutely no problems. Great sounding reciever. |

This piece is absolutely beautiful. DD is flawless, DTS is clean, no hiss in any playback. I paid $682 at ABC Warehouse in Utica, Michigan. |

After owning this product for 3 weeks, I am very happy with the purchase... I did my research througly and exchanged a few Sony recievers, before finally purchasing this one. I purchased it at Circuit City for $999 and every penny is worth it ... It has a lot of power, and its clean look is great. There's a lot clarity, deep bass, and midrange all around. Overall and excellent reciever, and I have no humming, hissing, or RF interference even though the reciever is a few feet away from my 74" Toshiba TV. Great reciever ... |

This post is to inform you of the previous review(s) made by John Peterson and MacPherson a.k.a Harris from NJ. Notice he posted the same message about the Sony STR-DB930 under the MacPherson name. Please disregard my rating as I have no experience with the HK. (Still trying to decide myself.) Just wanted to warn you of "Harris". |
