I have had this unit for about a month and I was really surprised at the excellent audio quality and clarity, features and above all price. I purchased this unit from Sears for $547 with shipping and taxes.
Out of the box, set-up is easy for the experienced. I did try using the Auto Surround setup but found that it didn't work correctly with my setup in a bedroom. I purchased this product because it had the HDMI switching I was looking for when I upgrade to HD later this year.
I have 7 A/V components connected: 2 DVD players, 1 LaserDisc, 2 VCRs, PS2 and Satellite. Switching between digital and analog connections are easy-as-pie--just press a button and you can use 2 components for each Digital/Analog-Audio/Video connection.
There is plenty of power and the unit takes up less space than my previous, although I would caution you to have a well-ventilated area should be of considerable concern since it does seem to run quite warm to the touch. Another drawback was the partial use of bana
