Weakness:
remote control, user manual. I bought vr505 for my 2nd reciever. Its sound quality is OK. The main reason I bought it was the price. I have compared many models at price range $100-$200. (SONY, TECHNICS, PIONEER, SHERWOOD, KENWOOD) VR505 has the best value. Remote control is too small to be hold, and the user manaul covers more than 5 models and is very confusing. VR505 is very light by comparing ONKYO. So I don't think vr505 would be a good choice for a serious listener. The sound from VR505 is a little bit dry, not as rich as ONKYO. It is ok for me to use it as a secondary reciever. |

Strength:
Great sound at a cheap price.
Weakness:
Small remote, only one optical input. I bought this receiver to replace my old Pioneer in my home theater. I love the Dolby Digital and DTS sound and optical input. The sound is amazing to me for the price I paid for the unit. I am very happy with it over all and the only fault I have is the small remote is hard to work sometimes.
