This is an incredible buy (in UK £'s)! I read the spec's, then expected to see a price tag of more than twice what I paid (free delivery aswell). With the AV decoder market so unstable on standards I decided to get an "acceptable unit" then maybe upgrade later, but I was so suprised by this little baby. I thought I may be compromising on music quality, but again I was proven wrong. Everything through the pre-amp stage to my multi-channel amp is amazing. If you don't want to throw money to the wind, then this is a very good compromise of performance & price. It is also a significant improvement on its predecessor/ancestor/forerunner, the sr5200. Marantz obviously take top selling models then just make them better. The sr5200 got 4/5 in most reviews, the sr5300 is close enough to 5/5.
