Strength:
Clean Sound and Excellent Hall mode.
Weakness:
Like the older binding post they had before. These are hard to get stiff cables like mine in. I've used NAD for years now and first started off with an 20W integrated amp with a pair of Paradigm mini monitors. Now I have abigger system and it couldn't be better than with a NAD receiver. I do wish there was Dolby Digital since I watch a lot of DVDs. Perhaps in the future. Similar Products Used: Paradigm 70p, 350 center channel, titans. Sony DVD |

I bought this reciever after reading the comments from reviewers that were posted by this reciever. Things like "I thought that I was listening to a reciever costing much more" etc. I listened to it and agreed, it is an incredible buy. You get Dolby Pro Logic, a hall mode with a variable delay, plus something that you won't find on any Sony...binding posts for the front and center channels! The NAD is pretty bare bones as far as options, but you get sound quality in exchange. The highs are clean and crisp and the bass seems to be about right for a 40 watt amp. The 711 is a good value on a reputable brand name, a definate recommendation. |

I bought the 711 2 years ago and it was my second NAD product. I was introduced to NAD when I was a kid and I really didn't know too much other than it had lots of power and sounded great. Now I know that for the money there isn't a better product. The 711 is unbelieveable for the price. The 40 watts per channel is very conservative. It's almost time to upgrade to a new 5.1 receiver and my choice will definately be NAD. |

Strength:
Good clean sound. Quite respectable at the mid-range.
Weakness:
No AC-3 and DTS decoder built-in Currently using 2 pairs of Gale speakers (main and surround), a Jamo centre and a JBL active sub-woofer to team up with this Nad unit in my bedroom. It faithfully produces good tight bass and mid-range. In the HT department, it produces good dolby pro-logic. It also has a reasonably good hall-mode setting as well. But since I'm used to the 2-channel stereo mode when listening to music, the hall mode surrond is redundent. Similar Products Used: Denon AVR3600 |

Strength:
This product produces a nice clear sound. Better than i expected when i bought it, because i did not yest this product before i bought it. For the money it is worth it!!! I would have to say that this product if u are a low budget music listener. The sound produced from this reciver is great. I have used a tube amp before, i would have to say that the difference in quality is not far from eachother. Considering the price between the tube and NAD, is very different, i am very happy with the out put of the NAD. I use this amp with my Cerwin-Vega VS-100, and i would have to say that is sounds very plesent, with very nice and tight bass. And i use a DVL-919 as my player. This set produces a very nice soound. |
