Strength:

Pure sound, Excellent remote control, rock-solid build, nice layout, plenty of power and connectivity. Great performance for the price.

Weakness:

I expected a better user manual for a product of this stature. Thats about it.

I waited to review my 676 until I had my entire home theatre assembled, so I could put it to the test. Sound quality was my #1 criteria, and listening to tons of units it came down to HK and Onkyo. A good price online was the tie-breaker. I'm relieved to report absolutely no hum/hiss problems. After much experimentation with settings and positioning (no thanks to the user manual), this reciever sounds fantastic! It is very musical with power to pack a whollup on wide variety of music. I did lots of research on my whole HT setup, and couldn't be more pleased with combination and the Onkyo 767 at the heart of it. Movies and CD's are now a whole new experience.

Setup:
Onkyo 676
JBL L5 Fronts
JBL 255 Rears
JBL S-Center
Klipsch KSW-12 subwoofer
Toshiba 1200 DVD Player
