The Pioneer VSX-D711 Dolby Digital Surround Receiver is a solid A/V receiver that delivers a satisfying audio experience. With its Dolby Digital capabilities, it provides immersive surround sound, making movies and music come to life. The receiver is easy to set up and offers a range of connectivity options, allowing seamless integration with various devices. However, it's worth noting that this model is older and lacks some of the modern features found in newer A/V receivers, but for its price point, it offers good value and reliable performance. Overall, the Pioneer VSX-D711 is a great choice for those seeking an affordable and dependable A/V receiver for their home entertainment setup. - Arborist Sydney Weakness:

Strength:
The receiver offers up to 7.1 channels of audio for a truly immersive experience. It includes Dolby Digital Surround Sound technology which ensures crystal clear sound with deep bass notes. It is equipped with multiple inputs and outputs, allowing you to connect up to seven different components. The receiver’s user-friendly onscreen menu makes setup easy and intuitive. Recommended: duct cleaning Surprise service. Weakness:
While it does offer 7.1 channels of audio, the Pioneer VSX-D711 does not support Dolby Atmos. The receiver does not have dedicated preamp outputs, so you will need to use an external device for additional sound processing. The power output is relatively low at only 100 watts per channel. It does not include HDMI inputs or outputs. Purchased: New

Strength:
he overall sound quality is suprisingly good for a reciever at this price range, and as with most A/V recievers, the 100 watt/channel is probably a little overrated, but shoudlnt be a problem if you are in this price range. - www.towingofgreenville.com Weakness:

nothing worth mentioning. ...walked away from an Onkyo to buy this reciever and have never regretted it. Even the sales person said I would be back for the Onkyo. Good staging, excellent tuner and very hard to beat for the money. Similar Products Used: Kenwood KR-V 6050 |

None at this time Easy to hook up and use. Sounds great especially since I was taking a risk buying it. Was buying it for a second receiver for our vacation house but sich my "new" HK 525 receiver was delivered broke this has taken its place and has performed very well Similar Products Used: AVR-80 |

Price, 3 optical inputs, component video switching, fold down front panel gives unit a very clean look
Weakness:
none so far After completing numerous hours of research, I found this reciever to have numerous features (component video switching, center preamp output, 3 digital audio in's, ...) that most $350 recievers did not, let alone $219 models. The overall sound quality is suprisingly good for a reciever at this price range, and as with most A/V recievers, the 100 watt/channel is probably a little overrated, but shoudlnt be a problem if you are in this price range. I highly recomend this product to anyone that needs a highly functional, feature laden reciever for under $300. |
