Poorlack Dolby Digital support, rear speakers won't fire in stereo mode, lame remote

I bought this reciever on the premise that it was dolby digital ready and that I could hook up a dvd with a decoder up to it and have Dolby Digital sound. I hooked it up to my Toshiba 3109 which has a Dolby Digital Decoder, and had no volume control whatsoever. It was coming out at a blistering 135 watts. A call to Sheerwood support told me that I need a decoder with sound control! That is ridiculous. I returned it to 800.com which was very understanding and exchanged it for another reciever free of charge.
