The model year is 2011. The options available for choosing the year only goes up to 2010.
This is a great receiver, especially for the price. I bought this unit to replace my over 30 year old Kenwood, that I actually paid $600 back then. The kenwood was in perfect condition after all these years and still rocked the house. I love music and have to listen daily. Loud at that.
I hooked up my new Yamaha and it was so simple. I could not wait to turn it on and was pleasantly surprised at how awesome this set is. Can plug your iPod touch in the front of the unit, but has capabilities of hooking a dock up to it.
Everything can be controlled with the remote. It was great not to control the music through the iPod. It's wonderful to play my music, all genres, all artists non-stop for hours if I want.
I am very happy with my purchase and sounds better then my Kenwood. I am using Polk speakers.
Though I rocked this unit in the store before buying it. Trying out all the different brands. This model was also in my price range.
This Yamaha has more power, and new technology for today's needs. I'm not going to list all the specs, when specs are listed under item description.
This unit has decoding. Which I believe is important. For technology advancements. I noticed this option started with mid-range to the higher end models. The cheaper units did not list having this decoding option.
