Strength:
Great Sound, Clean performance, durability over time.
Weakness:
Large and complex remote and with todays electronics, no decoding ability I purchased this receiver three years ago. I can honestly say that the sound is suprising on low end speakers. The wattage seems much more that 80 watts front L,C,R and 40 watts surround sound. |

This is an excellent piece of equipment. It can play very loud and precise and you can feel the bass in your stomach. The 5.1 input and the s-video at the back are good to have also. If you can do without DD or have a DVD player with built in DD-decoder, this is a very good HT-beginner-receiver. Taking the price in consideration, I'll give it four stars for its all-around performance |

Strength:
Great Sound, Clear and Precise. Excellent Features
Weakness:
No Optical Input. . Got this unit when they first introduced them as a promotion, had it ever since. No problems at all, the best receiver I have ever had. |

Strength:
Power, Styling, Ease of use, Upgradability
Weakness:
Weak spring loaded speaker terminals for surround channels, Thin metal casing, Pressed heatsink not cast. Limited S-video inputs. THis receiver performs pretty well, except for some of the shortcomings in the build quality (thin outer case and surround speaker connections) it is otherwise built pretty well, hi-mass feet, large transformer (Unit weighs 27.5 Lbs). I got this receiver from an online auction (eBay) for $275.00 with shipping.I bought this unit for my HT,(Panasonic A310-DVD, HK 710-CD, NAK CR2A-tape, speakers - mix Klipsch and Energy) and I'm very pleased with the sound quality. |

Strength:
Wonderful sound-stage imaging and clear processing.
Weakness:
Bulky remote and weak display on receiver. I found this unit as a "used" item at a local high-fidelity store in town. I was amazed at the price of $250 for this unit, since it retailed for $700. Either way, it has certainly proven to be a great purchase. Similar Products Used: Sony STRD750 |
