Very pleased thus far with this amp. Going separates was a definate plus, the price made it affordable to do so. I almost purchased the sonic frontiers MCA-5, but it was not in stock and was physically much bigger than the acurus. It would not fit into a normal sized rack. I am elated with the crisp clear highs, smooth midrange and non boomy bass. I am very pleased with this purchase as it has exceded my expectation. Construction is sound and it comes with a 2 year warranty if you send in your card within 2 weeks of purchase.

Current system for a 50/50 mix of home theater and music.

Strength:

Crisp clear highs, smooth mids, and tight bass

Weakness:

None

The sound from the amplifier is very clean. I am using it with:

ACT-3 processor
B&W speakers
Velodyne sub
Audioquest Interconnects
MIT T-2 Speaker wire

One word of caution:

When hooking up speaker wires make sure the amplifier is unplugged for 20 minutes before starting. I didn't do this once and I blew my center channel fuse. Easy to replace though.
