Detail, soundstage, very powerful for its size

No remote trigger, binding post too big for my banana plugs

I bought this amp to add two channels for a 6.1/7.1 setup but I have not gotten my Outlaw 950 preamp yet so I have been using it to power my front speakers(Paradigm Ref.20's). I am very please with the smooth, dynamic sound I am getting. It blends well with my Outlaw 750 amp and sounds great on music as well as HT. Detail and soundstage are excellent. If you are looking for an great two channel amp to add to your setup then I highly recommend this one.

From jazz to reggae, the best sounding amp. I have heard in the $2500 price range and for only $730 to my door. Solid construction, 7 year warranty and a sound that will kick butt and put amps that cost 3 times as much to shame.

Bought this amp. without listening to it first. I went by the reviews posted on this site and in various magzine. Great amp. Excellent construction, Great sounding and best of all excellent price ($720 delivered, within 3 days).

i bought Snell D's the year before and the sound was very clean, but the music did not sound open enough or life like. By changing
my amp from a rinky dink sony to the ATI with the Harmon Kardon
3270 pre-amp/amp (using the preamp) the speakers really opened up
and sounded incredible. This amp rocks!!!!!

I didn't believe amps made this much difference until i tried this
one. planty of power and great bass, but most of all it opened up
the sound of my speakers

Power, sounstage, looks, modular design

No auto power-down.

This amp rocks. I have PSB stratus mini and have always felt a little disatisfied with the cluttered soundstage and poor perforamnce with vocals. I was wrong--it was not the speaker's fault. When I fed them the ATI's power the speakers came alive!! The NAD 214's which I was bi-amping with sounded great in terms of the tone and detail, but somehow lacked spunk when driving this speaker. The ATI is not edgy, is not harsh, yet somehow the nusic is much more forward in presentation and detail is superb, soundstage is just immense. listening to a favorite track, not only was there a vast musical ensemble in front of me but there were also sound coming from behind me, to my side, way out in the distance. Perhaps to some this is exaggerated by the amp and unnnatural. for me the music has come alive, and I am starting to understand why my speakers are rated so highly!!

Whatsmore I lov ethe look of this amp! and 7yr warranty! and price -- same price as NAD 216THX, but much more refined and listenable. i got mine dirt cheap - If you want email me and I will let you know where.

ATI's smallest amp but has all the clean sound and dynamics of their biggest!From the front it looks just like the 1504 and 1506, but its depth is only
7 inches deep. This amp's looks is deceiving! It cranks!! I don't care what kind of speakers you have, this amp handles them all! At a true 200-225 watts
per channel into 8 ohms/ 300-350 watts into 4 ohms, most listeners won't need more than this! I have a friend who sold his Sony 200wpc amp to buy american.
He was allowed to try a Carver and then a Bryston from a local stereo store.
Both were rated with more power than the ATI! After hearing the difference, he wondered how ATI could build such an amp so inexpensive? He bought the ATI!
If you need a mono power amp, look "NO" further! At 450wpc 8ohms and 700-1000wpc
4ohms this little 17x7 inch power plant will shake your neighbors two blocks away. That is if you have speakers that can take it? But don't get me wrong, its not the loudness that makes the difference, its the great detail, sound stage, dynamics and effortless sound that flows from this amp that will capture your heart. Before buying "ANY" two channel amp at any price, at least give the ATI a try. If you can compare it side by side with some of the so called
"Audiophile" amps do it! I find that most high end stereo stores won't make the A/B comparison for some reason??? At $795 shipped, this jewel is a bargain!
If the rating system went to 10, I believe the ATI AT1502 deserves it!

Powerful, clean and quiet.

Made my Energy C-8's sing like they should. Deep and solid bass, wide soundstage, good clean highs. A great value at new pricing, a steal at the price I paid.
Hooked to a Cambridge Audio C-500 pre-amp and Denon DCM-370 CD. Highly recommended.

This is one sh%*t kicking amp....Thunderous bass, smooth as frog hair, ok, I am out of superlatives...

Impossible to find any, except the speaker connects to the amp needs some revision.

Having owned all of the above and several more, this amp right out of the box is stone cold wonderful. I have desired one for some time and finally made the plunge, with absolutely no regrets. The first cut I listened to with the amp was Film and the BB's, Tricycle, a must CD for testing any component, absolutely fabulous...my wife finally ran me off to bed. It goes so well with my Vandy 2CE signatures..and it pairs with my Acurus RL11 so nicely. I am in awe, no kidding.

i have owned several tube amps for several years,i wanted something reasonably priced to sound comparable to tubes,with the dependabilty of solid state. this is the absolute best sounding amp i have heard for under 2000.00.I have been using a Rogue model 88 tube amp, the only advantage the tube amp has over ATI1502 is that it is a tad smoother. In every other way,the ATI was better,dinamics were superior,bass was tighter and deeper,and it is very refined.
