I've used this amp for about two year togethr with Celestion 3 speakers, Sony MZ-R30 portable MiniDisc and Sony CDP-497, CD and speakers qutie cheap with excellent performance. After recent cable upgrades, Cardas Hexlink Golden 5C with the CD-player, Monster Interlink 400MkII Portable with the MD, TaraLabs TFA III speaker-cables, and AudioQuest Indigo+ internal speker cables, the system improved much, revealing the true sound of the amp. I will say that the CD and speaker are the limiting factors of the system, and will give the amp a 5, for excellent performance. It's tiny, cute and yet powerful. |

My Hi-Fi systems included Sony DVP7700 (used as CD Player);Music Fidelity X-24K as decorder; Pro Ac Tablette speakers and Aura V100 apmlifier which I bought it last week. I found the sound of the Aura V100 is warm and high resolution in both treble and base. It's especially good for playing Jazz and vocals CD. I like especially its small size; but the ampiflier generates much heat which makes the chasis very warm even the volumn is not turned on. Overall I lke VA100 very much. It out performs the AudioLab 9000. I recommend it to general audio enthusiast. |
