Lovely, precise, nuanced sound once the amp is burned in. This is one of those rare solid state amps that has warm sound. All I have to do is turn up the volume until it sounds like whoever is playing is in my house. What more can you ask from a stereo? Tonal balance is excellent and the vocals are a real treat.
This is probably the last amp I will ever buy. I also use the Ayre V5-xe preamp and Vienna Acoustics Strauss speakers with an REL subwoofer. What bliss to be able fo finall have a stereo that invites me into the music instead of just playing music.
