The new 4B SST2 is a really good amp. The transient performance is almost stunning. The clarity and purity is very good. It is a class AB amp but it seams that the bias current is quite high which results in a power consumption at 100 W idle, so my guess is that this amp works as a class A amp for most listening situations (at lower volume settings).

Strength:

Over all everything is nice but not A class performance and you can not expect it from product like this catagory anyway.

Weakness:

Lower end controle.

Good Amp. with this price range.Very close to music and if you do not have enough money to buy a class product then go for it & you will enjoy it's performance. I tis very very flexible amp. & response very nice with high end gear.

Customer Service

Good Very Good Actually.

Strength:

Full sound, lots of crisp detail. 20 year warrenty... how do you beat that?

Weakness:

Well, it's heavy as hell. And for 20.1's, if you listen REALLY loud (over 90db) you will need two of these babies. Read my review for the maggies, they suck the power right up.

Upgraded from Rotel. Happy with the change, and with the price. Fuller sound. Maybe warmer? More detail.

Drives my 20.1's nicely. Now I just need another one....
