Strength:
Totally faithful to the recording. Outstanding timing, and rythm. Dead quiet. Celestial sound stage. Lets you what is not up to snuff elsewhere.
Weakness:
People who have heard it here think it should have a sexier faceplate. I take that as a tribute to its performance. I have no probalem with its' faceplate. A sexier one will certainly add a couple hundred to the price. I would rather use that on a better power cord. I have long searched for that which walks the narrowest of lines between accuracy and musicality. BVaudio's website was refreshing in its' lack of hype. They pretty much let the design, and specs speak for themselves. Let me assure you, they are understated. I replaced a Plinius 8200P,and was amazed at the quantum leap in performance. This prompted me to get their P1 preamp- While both play everything, exceeding my expectations, they are particularily phenomenal on large scale music- classical, big band, opera. "Amused to Death" was filled with sonic nuggets, that had gone unnoticed. That is consistent with everything I play.
